The Wild Atlantic Way, Ireland’s world-famous coastal route that spans 2500km through 7 Irish counties, meanders straight through the resort, uniting the counties of Mayo and Galway. It acts as a spectacular cycle route through the mountains and valleys of South Mayo and Galway, and is complimented by the awe-inspiring views of Killary Harbour and the Atlantic Ocean, making it a popular location for cyclists and hill walkers alike.
Located right at the base of Mweelrea, the highest mountain in Connaught, Delphi Resort is the ideal base for the discerning walker, with the Twelve Bens and the Maumturk Mountians visible from the resort, while Kylemore Abbey, Roundstone, Sheeffry Hills and Connemara National Park are all nearby.
Visitors to the resort can choose from easy strolls around the resorts forest and mountain trails or along quiet roads and paths. Delphi is also the ideal destination for the avid hiker with some of the best Hillwalking and Climbing in Europe. Coastal walks are abound as well as island, inhabited and deserted, each with it’s own unique flavour, including Inishbofin, Inishturk and Clare Island.
